The MAAH Stone Book Award (MAAH-SBA) recognizes the most exemplary contemporary scholarship and writing within the field of African American history and culture by awarding an annual $50,000 winning prize and two $10,000 finalists prizes for exceptional adult non-fiction books written in a literary style.
The 2026 MAAH Stone Book Award Event will take place on October 8th at 6:30pm at the Museum’s historic African Meeting House on Beacon Hill.
Submissions for the 2026 MAAH Stone Book Award have closed. The three finalists for the award will be announced in early September. Stay tuned for the short list announcement this summer and the winner in the fall!
